Meet the Team: Reilly Turner
If you've visited Marietta Community Foundation’s office recently, chances are you have been greeted by Reilly Turner's friendly smile and welcoming personality. As Administrative Assistant, Reilly plays an important role in keeping the Foundation running smoothly while serving as a helpful resource for donors, fundholders, nonprofit partners, and community members.
Originally from Maryland, Reilly moved to the Mid-Ohio Valley in 2010 to attend Ohio Valley University. It was there that she met her husband, Jordon. The couple married in 2014 and quickly fell in love with the area, choosing to build their lives here. They have lived in Belpre since 2020 and are raising their two children, Finnick, 7, and Katriona, 4.
In her role at the Foundation, Reilly supports a wide range of day-to-day operations, helping ensure both staff and visitors have what they need. From managing supplies and processing payments to answering questions and connecting people with the right team members, she helps keep the Foundation's work moving forward efficiently.
"I like to think I help keep the machine that is MCF running smoothly," Reilly shared. "Whether it's helping a client find the right person, answering questions, or taking care of behind-the-scenes details, I'm happy to help wherever I'm needed."
For Reilly, one of the most rewarding parts of her position is the opportunity to connect with people.
"I'm usually the first face visitors see when they walk through the door," she said. "I enjoy getting to know people and figuring out how our team can best help them. And I love sending them on their way with a piece of candy."
Outside of the office, Reilly enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and listening to true crime podcasts. She and her family are also actively involved in their church community, where they spend much of their time serving and building relationships.
When asked what she loves most about Washington County, Reilly immediately points to the community's commitment to young people.
"I love that there are so many fun activities and opportunities for kids in our area," she said. "Our community sees value in investing in youth, which makes young families like mine want to stay, put down roots, and build a future here."
Heather Allender, President & CEO of the Foundation, shared her appreciation for Reilly’s role on the team.
“Reilly is often the first person people see when they walk through our doors, and she really sets the tone for their experience here,” said Heather. “She is kind, helpful, and incredibly dependable, and she makes everyone feel welcome from the moment they arrive. We are so lucky to have her part of our team.”
The next time you stop by Marietta Community Foundation, be sure to say hello to Reilly and experience the warm welcome that has become a hallmark of her role.
