Connecting local agriculture with local families…
What started in 2020 as a grassroots effort by a group of local community leaders has continued to grow, bringing more people together around a shared goal: helping provide fresh meat to families in Washington County. Today, Farm 2 Table connects local farmers, fair exhibitors, buyers, food pantries, and community members to help meet a real need in our community. Food pantries across Washington County serve more than 1,000 families each month, and fresh meat is one of the most difficult sources of protein for them to consistently provide. Farm 2 Table helps change that by turning livestock raised and purchased right here in Washington County into fresh meat for local food pantries and the families they serve.
How Farm 2 Table Works…
1. PURCHASE
Buy a cow or pig at the Washington County Fairs OR farmers can donate their livestock direclty to the program all year-round
2. PROCESS
Livestock is processed and the meat is prepared for distribution to food pantries throughout Washington County.
3. DONATE
Through our partner, Harvest of Hope, the meat is distributed to food pantries across Washington County.
4. IMPACT
Fresh meat reaches local families who need it, providing a valuable source of protein while keeping the entire effort rooted in our own community.
