Community Invited to Join Team Bradley for “Pack the Bin” Event Supporting Local Youth Athletes
Washington County, OH — Marietta Community Foundation, in partnership with Team Bradley and Leveling the Playing Field (LPF), invites the community to take part in a special “Pack the Bin” event on Friday, June 20 at 1:00 P.M. at the Devola Soccer Complex.
Community members are encouraged to bring gently used sports equipment to donate. As the bin fills, local schools, youth leagues, and nonprofit organizations will be able to apply through LPF to receive the equipment, helping ensure that all young athletes in the Mid-Ohio Valley have the sports gear they need to participate, grow, and thrive.
Since 2013, Leveling the Playing Field has redistributed over $20 million in sports equipment to under-resourced communities across the country. LPF Ohio Program Director, Eric Rutkowski, shared his excitement about the partnership:
“LPF Ohio is incredibly excited to partner with Team Bradley to spread our mission across Ohio. In just a short time working with Team Bradley, I can already feel the passion for family and community they have. I am energized and excited to work with them to connect with youth sports programs in the Mid-Ohio Valley.”
This initiative was brought to the region by Tammi Bradley and her daughters, Emmie and Gabby, through the Team Bradley Fund at Marietta Community Foundation. This fund was established in memory of beloved husband, coach, and community leader, Mark Bradley. Mark’s lifelong passion for sports and commitment to youth development continues to inspire through this meaningful effort.
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the love and support for the Team Bradley Fund,” said Tammi Bradley. “We were searching for something that truly captured our mission—and then we found LPF. This bin has become a powerful symbol of our purpose. Seeing our community rally around it, honoring Mark’s legacy while supporting local kids, has been truly incredible.”
The “Pack the Bin” event is an opportunity for the community to come together, honor a remarkable legacy, and pay it forward—one piece of equipment at a time.
