Washington County - Marietta Community Foundation is proud to announce its first-ever #MCFinAction sponsor, WesBanco, with a generous donation of $2,500 in support of the Foundation’s community engagement efforts throughout Washington County.

Launched in 2024, the #MCFInAction initiative highlights the Foundation’s real-time involvement in the community—whether that means volunteering at local events, distributing essential resources, or supporting programs that directly benefit area residents. WesBanco’s investment will help expand these efforts and increase the visibility of meaningful, boots-on-the-ground philanthropy.

“When we launched #MCFinAction to honor our 50th anniversary, we set out to deepen our connection to the community and inspire others to join us in meaningful, hands-on work,” said Heather Allender, President & CEO of Marietta Community Foundation. “The response has been incredible—far beyond what we imagined. As we embrace this new era of impact, WesBanco’s partnership empowers us to expand our reach and create lasting change across Washington County.”

The $2,500 sponsorship will support a variety of upcoming activities under the #MCFinAction initiative, allowing the Foundation to broaden its impact, engage more volunteers, and share the stories of those working to make a difference.

“At WesBanco, we believe in building stronger communities where people and businesses can truly thrive, and that's exactly what #MCFinAction is all about,” said Aleece Dye, Vice President & City President. “We’re proud to support an organization that shares our commitment to the community, and through this new initiative, will help ensure an even more vibrant Washington County."
