Quarter 4: A Look Inside Our Stewardship Process
Dear Fundholder,
As we step into a new year, I want to personally thank you for being part of the Marietta Community Foundation family. Your generosity, your trust, and your belief in this community make our work possible, and I am deeply grateful for your partnership.
Because of supporters like you, we are able to invest in people, organizations, and causes that strengthen our region and shape its future. It is a privilege to walk alongside you in this work.
As we continue to grow and evolve, we are always looking for ways to serve you and our community more thoughtfully and efficiently. As part of that effort, fund statements will now be delivered electronically by default. If you would prefer to continue receiving a paper statement by mail, we are happy to accommodate that request.
Please feel free to call us at 740-373-3286 or email Heather directly at heather@mcfohio.org if you would like your statement mailed.
Thank you again for your partnership and your generosity. We are honored to work alongside you and look forward to all that this new year will bring.

Stewardship in Action: A Look Behind the Scenes at MCF
Behind the scenes, our team is continually working to ensure that each contribution is handled with care, accuracy, and respect for the donor’s intent. From the moment a gift is received to the time it is invested, granted, or distributed, it moves through a thoughtful, multi-step process designed to protect your generosity and ensure it creates the greatest possible impact.
This includes careful review and documentation of each gift, alignment with fund agreements and donor wishes, financial verification, and coordination with our investment and grants processes. While much of this work happens quietly in the background, it is foundational to everything we do — and it reflects our deep commitment to being responsible stewards of the resources you have entrusted to us.
Thanks to you, 2025 was a truly remarkable year.
Your generosity and the growing trust in community philanthropy led to a record level of giving and an increase in new and existing funds. This growth is something we celebrate with gratitude and pride — and it also means that more gifts than ever before are moving through our stewardship process.
What that represents is something wonderful: more people investing in our community, more causes being supported, and more opportunities being created for the future of Washington County and beyond.
As we continue to grow, we remain committed to upholding the same high standards of care, diligence, and intentionality that you have come to expect from us. Growth may change the scale of our work, but it will never change our values. Your trust is something we honor every day.
Thank you for helping make this a year of meaningful impact, shared purpose, and strong momentum for our community.
