Flood Response & Relief

Our community is currently facing a significant flooding event. The river has crested, leaving many businesses and residents affected by its destructive force. While the waters begin to recede, the path to recovery is long and challenging. Marietta Community Foundation is committed to supporting our community during this difficult time.

Request Relief Assistance

If you or someone you know has been impacted by the flood, taking the first step to call 1-800-Red-Cross (1-800-733-2767) is vital. They will help determine the extent of damage and the overall need for assistance.

  1. First Step: Call 1-800-Red-Cross (1-800-733-2767)

    • After contacting the Red Cross, you can then reach out to Marietta Community Foundation for additional assistance and support.

  2. Visit Designated Relief Distribution Areas

    • Pick up cleaning supplies, hygiene products, blankets, sheets, clothes, food, diapers, water, and more.

    • Simplycarls Cleaning Company is offering free flood-cleaning for residents, with all supplies included. Call 304-494-1236

    • JaniSource is providing complimentary ViruScrub, an all-in-one, hospital-grade disinfectant and cleaner that prevents mold and mildew. 740-374-6298

    • U-Haul Moving and Storage in Marietta is offering one month of free storage to any business affected by flooding.

  3. Request Assistance from Marietta Community Foundation:

    • Support may be available for Washington County residents

    • Submit an Online Relief Request Form

      • Fill out the required information to help us understand your needs.

      • If you’re unable to fill out the web form, contact us at info@mcfohio.org, (740) 373-3286, or visit our office located at 100 Putnam Street Marietta, OH 45750. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

How to Help Relief Efforts

We are immensely grateful for the outpouring of support from our community members who want to help with the flood relief efforts. Your generosity and willingness to assist make a significant difference in our community's recovery.

  1. Volunteer Your Time:

    • Marietta Main Street is coordinating volunteers who would like to assist in downtown cleanup. If you are able and would like to be put on the call list, you can email info@mariettamainstreet.org.

  3. Support Collections for Relief Efforts and Businesses Hosting Fundraisers:

    • Donations of essential items can make a significant difference in supporting relief and cleanup efforts for those affected by floods. See what items are needed, then drop off donations at designated community collection points:

      • Marietta Fire Department Station 1, 301 Putnam St, Marietta, OH 45750

    • Jaimes Crew Tacos is donating 25% of sales from April 8-13 to our Hardship & Disaster Relief Fund

    • Sips Coffee Truck is donating 100% of proceeds of its “Rising Tide Refresher” from April 5-9 to our Hardship & Disaster Relief Fund
